Project Coordinator, Anambra State NEWMAP-EIB

Nigeria Climate Adaptation, Erosion and Watershed  Project, is an European Investment Bank-assisted Project aimed at reducing vulnerability of Nigeria’s population to soil erosion and associated land degradation. Anambra State is one of the most degraded and erosion-ravaged landscapes in Africa and the world.

Funded by the European Investment Bank (EIB), this project is committed to building the State’s resilience to climate change impacts especially soil erosion and advancing sustainable land management.

Anambra State NEWMAP-EIB is located at No. 14 Onyechi Street, Off Enugu-Onitsha Expressway, adjacent Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University Teaching Hospital, Amaku, Awka, Anambra State, Nigeria and headed by our amiable Professor Philip Ogbonnia Phil-Eze, JP, FANG, the Project Coordinator.

  • To enhance Anambra State’s resilience to the impact of climate change.

Mission

  • To reduce vulnerability to soil erosion and promote sustainable land management practices in targeted sub watershed in Anambra State.
