The National Project Coordinator (NPC) of the Nigeria Erosion and Watershed Management Project (NEWMAP-EIB), Engr. Anda Ayuba Yalaks, has been conferred with the Distinguished Public Service Award in Development Project Leadership by the Bureau of Public Service Reforms (BPSR), The Presidency.
The award was presented on Tuesday, 23rd June 2026, at the Nicon Luxury Hotel, Abuja, during the Nigeria Public Service Excellence Awards, held in commemoration of the 2026 United Nations Public Service Day. The event was themed “Transforming Public Institutions: Advancing Innovation, Participation and Inclusion.”
The honour recognises Engr. Yalaks’ sustained leadership and contributions to the implementation of development projects under NEWMAP-EIB, in line with the global call to strengthen public institutions through innovation and inclusive service delivery.
The colourful event drew an impressive array of dignitaries, government officials, and fellow awardees from across the public sector. Engr. Yalaks was joined in celebration by family members, well-wishers, and colleague Project Coordinators who came out to honour the recognition.
